Korea’s Daewoo auto manufacturer began as National Motor, producing autos and auto parts back before World War II. Its lengthy history included collaborations with Toyota and General Motors before GM finally purchased. It has continued to produce vehicles all over the world. Daewoo specializes in smaller, affordable car models, some based on General Motors’ T-car configuration and others based on its own platforms.
